An open letter to all Alumni of Sino-German College of Applied Sciences, Tongji University
Dear Alumni of Sino-German College of Applied Sciences:
Hello!
When you read this letter, it means that you have already stood at the doorstep of the Alumni Association, just one step away from joining our warm and harmonious family. First of all, we are very happy to be able to get in touch with you again, and on behalf of the teachers and friends of the college, who have lived together in the past, we would like to express our attachment to you and send you our sincere greetings.
Since the establishment of Sino-German College of Applied Sciences of Tongji University in 2004, adhering to the concept of cultivating talents with international vision, we have witnessed our youth and cultivated our growth together. During the period, benefiting from the Sino-German cooperation mode of college running and the unique diligence of people of Tongji, we have witnessed the graduation of a number of alumni, and we can proudly say that we are a distinctive generation among people of Tongji. Some of us continue to study in the famous universities in China and Germany and pursue graduate studies and doctoral degrees; some of us have already stepped into the workplace and are active in different fields of Chinese and German societies, contributing our own light and heat, and striving to win the honor for Tongji University and our college. Because, what Tongji and the college bring us is not only knowledge and talent, but also a heart of empathy and gratitude.
The familiar Tongji University motto “pull together in times of trouble, constantly strive to become stronger” must not be dimly forgotten in your heart; in those years, the close friends who accompanied us through the bittersweet life of the university must be able to stir up your hidden thoughts from time to time. That’s right, all this is only because since the moment we stepped into the university campus, we have firmly engraved the common characteristics belonging to us, allowing time and space to wash and baptize, but still sound: “People of Tongji Sino-German!”
Gratefully, in order to strengthen the construction of a platform for the communication between Chinese and Germans, and to set up a channel for communication, collaboration and reciprocal mutual assistance among the alumni across grades and specialties and cross-border fields, under the encouragement of CDHAW and the joint initiative of the alumni from all over the world, the “Verein der CDHAW-Absolventen und Mitglieder der Tongji-Universität in Deutschland (CAMT)” was formally organized on May 12, 2013 at the conference held in Frankfurt, Germany! CAMT is a non-profit public welfare group organized by the graduated alumni of CDHAW, currently divided into two chapters in China and Germany according to the geographical area and pursues democratic unity and autonomy of the alumni in the form of organization. The CAMT is not only a window for CDHAW to contact the alumni, but also a platform for Chinese and German people to collaborate and help each other, aiming at integrating and exploring the resources of the alumni, promoting the exchange and cooperation of the alumni and supporting the development of CDHAW’s teaching and learning, as well as enhancing the alumni’s love, Tongji University’s love and Sino-German love through the online featured information service and the offline activities of fellowship all over the world.
Therefore, we sincerely invite you to join our Sino- German’s own alumni family. Here, you can find your old friends, and also get to know experienced seniors; here, we build a shelter for you in the journey of studying in Germany; here, we ignite a booster for you in the process of striving for your career. Because we know what you need and what you want, just like we do. Join us and witness each other’s growth with the partners who know you best! You can also follow our official Sina Weibo and RenRen public pages to get more information and activities or interact with us and share your insights. People of Sino-German, what are you still hesitating for? It’s all yours! You deserve it!
We look forward to your joining us! We firmly believe that the future of people of Sino-German of Tongji University is not a dream!
We wish you all the best!
